WhatsApp Rolls Out Its Shopping Button Globally

WhatsApp started rolling out a new shopping button globally to ‘’make shopping on WhatsApp even easier’’. The new button will give users direct access to business catalogs with a single click.

Acquired by Facebook in 2014, WhatsApp is today’s most popular messaging app with over 2 billion monthly active users sending roughly 100 billion messages every day. It is available in over 180 countries and 60 different languages.

In addition to easily communicating with family and friends, WhatsApp also provides its users with the ability to get in touch with businesses as we’re in the era of online shopping.

The company has just announced a new feature to make shopping on WhatsApp even easier. With the new shopping button being rolled out globally, users will be able to discover the products and services of businesses while chatting with them directly.

If you have a business profile on WhatsApp, you’ll need to create a catalog and meet WhatsApp’s requirements to make the shopping button available to your customers.

If you’re a WhatsApp user, you don’t need to do anything. The button will appear automatically when a business you communicate with on WhatsApp adds a catalog.

As well as the new shopping button, WhatsApp has introduced a lot of new features recently. Last week, it updated its storage management tool to make it easier for users to free up space on their devices and started rolling out the disappearing messages which vanish after 7 days.
