Twitter lists Twitter Blue subscription service for $2.99 on the App Store

Twitter has listed its new Twitter Blue subscription service as an in-app purchase on the App Store, priced at £2.49 in the United Kingdom and $2.99 in the United States.

Twitter Blue is going to be different from the Super Follow service which the company announced in late February and will charge users to get access to exclusive content.

Jane Manchun Wong, tech blogger who is renowned for discovering yet-to-release features, tweeted about the Twitter Blue service two weeks ago. According to her, the subscription service will include an Undo Tweet option and the Collections feature which will let you save your favorite Tweets.

Last month, she also shared that Twitter is working on in-app purchases for Android as well. I’ve just checked the Play Store and there’s an in-app purchase option priced at $4.99, however, no further information is displayed.

Although the company hasn’t made an official announcement yet, it previously announced that it’s working on premium features to monetize the platform in different ways besides its ad business., The company’s shares fell 13% after reporting a disappointing ad sales revenue prediction for the next quarter.

The company started testing its Clubhouse-rival service Spaces in March and expanded it to users with more than 600 followers in the beginning of this month.

In addition, it recently introduced the Tip Jar feature which will allow users to send tips to their favorite creators.
