Netflix partners with RocketRide Games to bring more mobile games

Montreal-based RocketRide Games and Netflix have partnered to bring more mobile games to the streaming service.

Founded in 2017 by Louis-Rene Auclair, RocketRide Games is a consulting agency for the video game industry. The agency has already delivered two games to Netflix (Knittens and Dominoes Cafe), with more on the way in the upcoming months. In the past two years, the agency has signed 45 deals that have generated more than $78 million in revenue.

RocketRide CEO Louis-Réne Auclair said: “Everyone at RocketRide Games is extremely proud of this new partnership with Netflix. Having the ability to bring games to their millions of subscribers is definitely a great opportunity for RocketRide Games and for video games studios all over the world.”

According to a recent analysis, Netflix’s mobile games have been installed over 8 million times since their launch. As of January 2022, there are 12 Netflix video games subscribers can play on their iOS and Android devices.

Netflix, which first announced it would focus on mobile games last July, started testing its games on Android in Poland in August, and just a few months later in November released its video games worldwide on iOS and Android.
