PlayStation Launches Its Updated Mobile App With Enhanced Features

PlayStation’s updated mobile app has been launched worldwide with new and enhanced features to improve the user experience with PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. 

”Today we’re introducing new ways to amplify your connections with friends and the games you love to play even when you’re away from your console.” said Hideaki Nishino, Senior Vice President, Platform Planning & Management at PlayStation.”We’re pleased to unveil the updated PlayStation App, reimagined to enhance your gaming experiences on both PS4 and PS5.”

The updated PS app comes with an updated user interface allowing players to see what their friends are playing and see details about the games they recently played including their Trophy List. With the new app, users won’t have to install the PS Messages app separately to message their friends and all of their existing messages and threads will be moved to the new PS app. 

Also, the updated PS app will enable users to download games from the PlayStation Store remotely, create party groups where they can voice chat with up to 15 friends and access the latest news from game developers and PS Blog with the Explore tab.

To get the updated PS app, you need an iPhone with at least iOS 12.2 or an Android device with Android 6.0.
