Bending Spoons agrees to acquire Airtable in $1.285 billion all-cash deal

Italian technology company Bending Spoons has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire no-code software platform Airtable in an all-cash transaction valued at $1.285 billion. Including Airtable’s net cash and cash equivalents, the deal implies an equity value of approximately $2.25 billion. The acquisition is expected to close later this year, subject to customary regulatory approvals and other closing conditions. Reuters first reported the transaction.

The acquisition marks Bending Spoons’ first deal since its Nasdaq debut in July 2026 and continues the company’s expansion strategy following its acquisitions of AOL in January and Eventbrite in March. Known for acquiring and scaling digital businesses, Bending Spoons is adding Airtable to a portfolio that has grown rapidly over the past year.

Founded in 2013, Airtable offers a cloud-based platform that combines spreadsheet and database functionality, enabling organizations to build custom applications and manage workflows without requiring extensive coding expertise. According to Bending Spoons, Airtable serves more than 500,000 organizations, including 80% of the Fortune 100. The company also reported annual recurring revenue of approximately $480 million as of June 2026, representing more than 20% year-over-year growth.

Under the terms of the agreement, unanimously approved by the boards of both companies, Bending Spoons will acquire 100% of Airtable’s outstanding shares. Until the transaction is completed, the two businesses will continue operating independently.

The deal highlights Bending Spoons’ continued push beyond consumer applications into enterprise software. Airtable has positioned itself as a no-code platform for collaborative work management, allowing teams to organize data, automate workflows, and develop internal applications across a range of business functions.

Legal counsel for the transaction includes Willkie Farr & Gallagher LLP for Bending Spoons, while EY Advisory S.p.A. provided financial and tax due diligence services. Goldman Sachs Bank Europe and J.P. Morgan are serving as co-financial advisors to Bending Spoons, while AXOM Partners is advising Airtable.
