Snapchat takes Unified Attribution global with AppsFlyer and Adjust

Snapchat has rolled out Unified Attribution globally, giving app advertisers using AppsFlyer or Adjust access to a measurement and optimization system that combines Snapchat’s platform signals with cross-channel performance data from mobile measurement partners. Support for additional MMPs is also in development.

The product, which entered beta in May, is designed to address a longstanding discrepancy in mobile advertising: platforms can optimize campaigns using their own attribution signals while advertisers evaluate performance using data reported by their MMPs. Unified Attribution brings those signals into a single framework within Snap Ads Manager, allowing Snapchat’s optimization systems to incorporate MMP conversion data.

For app marketers, that means campaigns can be optimized using real-time signals that include MMP conversions rather than relying exclusively on Snapchat’s first-party measurement. Advertisers can also use the combined data to evaluate installs, onboarding, purchases and acquisition efficiency while comparing Snapchat’s contribution with performance across their wider marketing mix.

Snapchat says the approach is intended to reduce fragmentation between platform reporting and the measurement systems advertisers use to make budget decisions. AppsFlyer’s Bright Park said the integration puts Snap’s optimization engine and advertiser measurement on the same underlying data, addressing the situation where publishers and advertisers can otherwise evaluate the same campaign through different attribution signals.

Early testing produced different results across app categories. Mohegan Sun Online Casino recorded an 89.8% increase in ROAS and a 77% reduction in CPI by the fourth week of comparing Unified Attribution with its business-as-usual approach, based on AppsFlyer data supplied by the advertiser.

Financial app Deblock tested Unified Attribution in France using Adjust signals alongside Snap’s first-party data. The campaign recorded a 25% lower effective CPI, 28% lower cost per completed onboarding, 43% more installs and 31% greater reach, according to Adjust data cited by Snapchat.

Mobile app publisher Codeway also tested the system with Adjust, reporting an 18% reduction in CPI and 1.8 times higher scale while maintaining CPP performance. In another test, a real-money gaming advertiser recorded a 26% lower cost per acquisition compared with campaigns optimized using Apple’s SKAdNetwork.

The global rollout comes as mobile advertisers continue to navigate fragmented attribution signals across ad platforms, MMPs and privacy-focused measurement frameworks such as SKAdNetwork. Rather than introducing another standalone measurement source, Snapchat’s approach centers on incorporating third-party attribution data directly into campaign optimization.

The expansion also forms part of Snap’s broader effort to strengthen its performance advertising business. In the second quarter of 2026, parent company Snap generated $1.6 billion in revenue, up 19% year over year, while advertising revenue increased 9% to $1.28 billion, according to figures cited by Marketing Dive. The company has been investing in automation, optimization, attribution and measurement tools aimed particularly at app, ecommerce and other lower-funnel advertisers.

With the latest rollout, Unified Attribution moves from a limited beta to global availability for app advertisers working with AppsFlyer and Adjust. Snapchat says additional MMP integrations are underway, extending its strategy of using advertisers’ existing measurement signals directly within campaign optimization.
