Youtube Tests Its New Comment Section On Android Devices

YouTube, the world’s largest video sharing platform, currently tests its redesigned comment section on Android applications. The screenshots posted by some users indicate that social media giant made radical changes in the comments section.

A Reddit user reported that after the YouTube server-side update, the comments section on the Android app was completely changed. In shared screenshots, comments seem to be placed under recommended videos. Also in the new version, the ‘next’ videos are positioned directly below the description section.

New Youtube Comment Section Design

We see a total of three comments on the screenshots. There is also a button to quickly get to the comments section. In addition, YouTube didn’t forget to include a message at the bottom of the page to let you know that comments have been moved.

YouTube’s new interface is being tested with a limited user base. It is not clear whether the company will implement this change; but so far, the feedback of the users is not very positive.

The revised comments section is currently only available on YouTube’s Android 14.45.52 version. YouTube frequently tests new interface changes in the Android app. As mentioned above, there is no guarantee that the company will implement this change. Video sharing giant Youtube usually makes decisions based on the feedback of users.
