Keywords Studios Acquires Maverick Media For £3.6 Million

Keywords Studios, Ireland-based service provider to the gaming industry which also acquired games development studio Coconut Lizard and opened an Electric Square Office in Singapore in the beginning of this year, has announced its latest acquisition of Maverick Media, a video games creative marketing agency who has worked with big companies in the industry including Pokemon, Zynga and Bandai Namco.

”We are excited about the expertise that Maverick will bring to our wider marketing business and, ultimately, to our client base across the Group. This is the second acquisition to complete following our recent £100m placing and we have a healthy pipeline of further acquisition opportunities which we are reviewing and advancing.’’ he added. 

As reported (27/08/2020 – Acquisition) by Keywords Studios, the company will pay £2.4m in cash and £300,000 through the issue of 13,579 new ordinary shares to the sellers one year after the deal is completed.

And the remaining consideration which is up to £900,000 will be payable to the sellers based upon performance targets over the six months after the completion.
