A plot of digital land on Axie Infinity, a popular NFT game, was bought by another player for approximately $2.3 million, making it the most expensive plot sold in the digital world.
The platform, which allows players to earn Ethereum in exchange for the wars they waged, the special items they collected and the characters they trained, said in its announcement that one of its virtual plots was sold for 550 Ethereum ( over $2.3 million).
According to Axie’s post, this land named ‘genesis land’ has been the most expensive plot of digital land sold to date. Axie congratulated the buyer and seller of the plot, saying that its community of players continues to shock the world. It was not disclosed which players these buyers and sellers were.
We believe this is the largest sum ever paid for a single plot of digital land.

What is Axie Infinity?
Axie Infinity is a game played with creatures called Axie. Axies are unique, unchangeable Tokens that we refer to as NFTs. So when you have an Axie, it will be unique and will belong only to you. Just like Pokemon, Axies have their own types, characteristics and powers. In order to play the game, you must have 1 team of 3 Axies.
According to the data conveyed by the measurement company DappRadar, the popular NFT game Axie Infinity hit the $2 billion milestone in all-time sales as of September.
Sky Mavis, the Axie Infinity developer, has raised $152 million in Series B funding at a $3 billion valuation in October.
